TITA

TITA is knitted from top to bottom, some parts in open and some parts in circular. The steps to follow to construct it are:

Mount the stitches at the back, to continue knitting towards the lower part of the armhole and leave them on standby.
Pick up and knit the stitches of both shoulders to continue knitting up to the armhole on the front.
Joing the front and back to continue knitting the body in a circular pattern.
Finish off the neckline.
Knit the sleeves.

And it’s ready! Time to give it a nice “completely cuckoo” look.

SIZES

1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) covers a chest circumference range of 80 to 140 cm.

The final measurements of the garment at the chest circumference in cm: 90 (100, 110, 120) (130, 140, 150) cm approx, to be worn with a positive ease of approx 10 cm.
The model in the photograph is wearing size 2 with 10 cm ease.

MATERIAL

For the model in the photo, we have used ROWAN Summerlite 4ply (100% cotton, 175m=50g) in color cobalt 447

NEEDLES

3.5 mm circular needles with 60 or 80 cm cable, or the adequate thickness to obtain the sample tension.
Circular needles of 3 mm with 60 cm cable, or half a mm finer than the ones we are going to knit the garment with, to pick up the collar stitches and knit the finishing.
3.5 mm needles or the same thickness with which you knitted the garment to knit small circle (special short cable, five needles or magic loop needles) for the sleeves.
Needles of 3 mm or half a stitch smaller than the ones used to knit the garment (special short cable needles, five needles or magic loop needles) to pick up the sleeve stitches.
Auxiliary needle to make the crosses (optional).

SAMPLE

A plain stitch:
24 stitches and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm before blocking.
23 stitches and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm after blocking.

Cross stitch:
25 stitches and 34 passes = 10 x 10 cm before blocking.
24 stitches and 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm after blocking.

It’s recommended that note down the measurements of the sample before and after blocking, so that we can estimate the final measurements of the garment.

PIMIENTA

PIMIENTA is knitted from the top down. Begin by assembling the back stitches. We will continue knitting the back, leaving the back stitches on standby to knit the front and continue knitting the body in plain stitch.

SIZES

1, (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) Final measurements of garment with an ease between 7 and 8 cm in the chest circumference. Chest circumference : 90 ( 98, 106, 114)( 122, 130, 138) cm. The model in the picture is wearing a size 2, with 7cm of ease.

Summerlite 4ply by ROWAN 175m = 50g

Base color A: Ecru (437): 3(3, 4, 4) (4, 5, 5) balls.

Contrast color B: Chilli (450): 1(1, 1, 1)(1, 1, 1) ball.

Contrast color C: Coral (442): 1(1, 1, 1)(1, 1, 1)ball.

Contrast color D: Cobalt (447): 1(1, 1, 1)(1, 1, 1)ball.

Tip: Be sure not to combine yarns with very intense colors with other very light-colored yarns in yarns that release color, ask the store for information.

NEEDLES

3 mm with 80 cm cable or the one you find more comfortable for knitting.

SAMPLE

27 st x 32 r Sample knitted in plain stitch, with a 3 mm needle, blocked. It’s recommended that note down the measurements of the sample before and after blocking, so that we can estimate the final measurements of the garment.

LUMBRE

This T-shirt is knitted from the top down, begin with a provisional assembly, and when the time comes, knit a double collar, with a wide round neckline. At the end of the neckline, almost all of the yoke’s increases will be made, to give the appearance of volume in the shoulders that can be found in the underwear of the period of our novel. Then, knit the body and finely knit the two sleeves.

MATERIAL

Wool ROWAN Cotton Glacé YARN 50gr/115m: 6(7, 7, 8) (8, 9, 9)10 balls.

NEEDLES

3 mm and 3,25 mm
3.5 auxiliary needles for the sleeve darts (can also be double pointed needles)
80 cm cable or whatever is most comfortable for knitting and at least 120 cm to block the yoke.
To block the yoke, I recommend that you use a cable large enough to extend your stitches along the length of the yoke, if necessary according to your size, you can use more than one cable.

SAMPLE

10 x 10 cm: 21 st x 31 st. Sample knitted in plain stitch, with 3.25 mm needle and blocked. It’s recommended that note down the measurements of the sample before and after blocking, so that we can estimate the final measurements of the garment.

BROWN

BROWN is open-woven from top to bottom. The indications are detailed in the following sequence:

Knit the neck stitches to continue knitting in openwork.
Increase at the shoulders until you obtain the desired back width according to size, at the same time shaping the front V-neckline.
Separate to continue knitting front and back to the desired length.
Pick up the stitches to knit the sides. And that’s it! Time to give it a nice “completely cuckoo” look.

1, (2 ,3, 4) (5, 6, 7). Covers a chest circumference range of 80 to 140 cm. If your chest circumference is larger, please contact me and I will scale the size to the size you need. The final measurements of the garment at the chest circumference in cm: 90 (100, 110, 120) (130, 140, 150) cm approx. This vest is designed to be worn with approx 6 cm of slack around the chest. The model in the picture is size 2 with 6 cm of slack.

Summer or winter yarn with DK/Worsted thickness (200m=100g approx) 521 (597, 677, 759) (844, 933, 1025) m 260 (299, 338, 379) (422, 466, 512) g.

These quantities are approximate. The total length of yarn used will also depend on the type of fiber, the tension or the modifications made to the garment. In the model of the photo we have used: Creative Linen by ROWAN (50% linen, 50% cotton 200m=100g) natural color 621

NEEDLES

4mm circular needles with a cable of 60 or 80cm, or size needed to obtain gauge.
A 4 mm needle for the three-needle closure of the sides, this can be double-pointed.
Circular 3.5 mm with 60 or 80 cm cable to pick up the points on the side.
Circular 3.5 mm with 40 cm cable to finish off the arm holes.

SAMPLE

A stockinette or sweater 20 stitches and 27 rows are 10 by 10 cm before blocking. 19 stitches and 26 rows are 10 by 10 cm after blocking. It’s recommended that note down the measurements of the sample before and after blocking, so that we can estimate the final measurements of the garment.
