MY THOUGHTS ON THE FREEDOM OF KNOWING HOW TO KNIT AND A LOT OF INSPIRATION

A couple of days ago, looking at the mountain of summer tops I have on the desk next to the computer where I work and while teaching the Online Continuing Stitching Classes, I was thinking about how much I loved them all and how grateful I was to have been able to knit them to my liking.

I am a person with very well-defined tastes, but this is something with both advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that I don’t hesitate much when deciding whether I like something or not, it’s clear to me the first time, something that saves a lot of time when shopping, hehehehe… The disadvantage is that it’s often very difficult to find what you really want and here begins my reflection.

For example, referring only to clothing. When I’ve gotten a typical garment that I really love and with which I feel super comfortable, I feel sad when it gets worn out with use and washing.

However, since they are garments that I have knitted myself, I can make them again whenever I want, and even modify them to make some improvement if I think of something as my creation grows between my needles.

Don’t you think that’s really cool?

I think that people who know how to knit should be aware that we have more freedom than those who don’t know how to knit, and that’s a wonderful feeling, don’t you think?
